This place is a Norfolk institution, or at least it should be considered one because it has stood the test of time. They have stayed in business for so long because they are doing something right. Let's get into it... Manny's Burger is a little hole in the wall takeout burger joint. There are no frills here. If you're lucky you can score a seat at the one picnic table outside. You place your order through a window and when it's ready they yell out your name. It's very nostalgic and perhaps that's one of the reasons why they have been around for so long. It's a reminder of a time when life was much simpler and far less stressful and complicated. They have many items on their menu but my favorite is the Manny Burger. It's a beef patty served with lettuce, tomato and pickle with boiled ham on top. I know what you're thinking, boiled ham??? Don't knock it until you've tried it. For reasons that I still don't understand, it all just works together so wonderfully well that I wouldn't dream of changing anything. That being said, Yum! I advise you to call ahead because everything is cooked to order, and you will have to wait.
